Much better. However, I've just noticed that the geometry of the mast doesn't match that of the APAR's base. They are both square, but in order for them to line up you'll need to turn one of them 45 degrees.

I hope that explains it.

Oh. Right. Eh, that will be a tad difficult...

Is there an APAR around here that already is rotated like that? Or do I have to draw my own? I'm not very good at drawing 3D in two dimensions...

You could just rotate the mast instead.

no, but the early APAR had the arrays different. (look on the dutch parts sheets for that one) the footprint was still like the current one, though.
and what thiel says is true too: better rotate the mast.

Thiel, you just gave me an awesome idea for a new Radar mast
That star figure is such a good inspiration. Thanks!

Rotating the mast would sadly mess up everything I had previously done to decrease the RCS... I will return to the original APAR, but not without trying the following:

I know it is ugly and it is not perfected, but would this (conceptually speaking) work? Basically I took the prototype APAR from the Dutch parts sheet and removed all external parts and the base, then intergrated it with my mast.

Sorry if I'm being stubborn here.

possible? yes, of course! as long as there is enough space between the plates (which there is, because you took an real design)
don't forget to make the lines of the mast straight though.

Integration costs are likely to go skyrocket though.

Further aligned the masts. I noticed something is wrong with my 3D view however, a grief mistake that might be difficult to fix.

Thiel, how come that the cost would be increased so much with this layout? I don't see why to be honest, but I bet there's a good reason for that.

Btw, I have also placed a Mirador on top of the mast; just like the Dutch LCF had. It seems a little small though; on other pictures I've seen it seems a lot bigger.

If you're going to such drastic expense to make it stealthy, shouldn't you have solid railings?
