I have designed her with one ski-jump and 6 catapults (4 standard, one extra long and 1 which overlaps the other). She is equipped with 5 lifts and one extra large lift on the aft deck built into the aft deck.

flight-deck is unusually wide (up to 70 meters at its very widest)

Engine: 6 geared steam turbines, 4 × shafts 443,000 shp
speed: limited to 36,3 knots (Because of excessive strain on the hull)
Complement: 6200 + 1300 marins or more.
Armor: classified
Aircraft carried: Hold up to 120 (normaly 90)

Motto: "Slightly large!"

could I see an (basic) top view so I can see the runway arrangement? I am wondering.......
also, the liferafts postion isn't very good under those hatches, because when your power goes ofline, you can't acces them.

They don't have to be power operated.

System 1 is, you can manually open them with a crank shaft.
System 2, should the hatch be so damaged that you can't open them with the crank shaft, then you can use explosive charges placed around the hatch that will theoretically blow out the hatch.

is not 100% sure on the 6 catapult. the Ski-jump is there more as an extra equipment for aircraft as Vtol aircraft.

well, here is the problem, with some solutions:
you have an straight landing deck, I suppose. that means you can't launch and recover aircraft at the same time, because most of your catapults are crossed by the landing track, or the aircraft can't get to the catapult.

the best idea (IMHO) would be to remove the aft elevator, and let aircraft 'cross' the deck from there towards the 2 catapults you have at the other side. most likely you have to remove or move one, to create an clear path, and I don't know if it is an problem to let the landing aircraft cross your 'long' catapult.
hey, look what we now got! it is the same arrangement as the nimitz, + an added ski jump + one longer catapult! (basically)

also, re the jump.... I see no reason why VTOL aircraft could not use the catapult or at least the start deck. so I don't know if it is an good idea to waste deck space for that ski-jump.

another idea might be an X-carrier, as for example one of the Vikrant concepts was : http://www.defencetalk.com/pictures/dat ... nt_c02.jpg. it might be possible to do something like that with catapults, but I am not sure.

Except carriers in this size class tend toward full on CATOBAR* or STOBAR.

He's got the size for a full CATOBAR carrier, so that's what I'd suggest.
