I was asked a while ago, when I posted my Type 22s if I might also draw the Type 23. This has already been drawn by MihoshiK, but his otherwise very competent drawing is fast aging (as, undoubtedly all of ours will!), and, more crucially, it lacks a full hull rendition and rigging. So, here, after a lot of labor, is the Type 23 or Duke-Class, represented by the HMS Richmond (F239) as of today:

(oh, I did plan on drawing its badge, but it sort of overwhelmed me, so that'd just have to wait, unless someone of my collegues will feel the challenge tempting enough to get their hands on.)

HA HA, maybe I will do it for you if I can find a photo (what I probably can ;) ). But I got an urgent crest on the slipway, I've got to finish first (I'll think you know which it is). All though I managed to do the crest for HMS Hood in my breaks  (but it was also already a WIP, which HMS Richmond unfortunately isn't :? )
:D
P.S. It's an incredible handsome drawing of a handsome vessel. I like the underwater hull, which I'll guess is coloured realistic ;)

Thank you Kim. Really warming to hear such compliments. Yes, I was actually inpired by your Bulwark in choosing this color, which also is confirmed through multiple photos. And, if you don't mind, I'd love a badge for this ship, but I know your hands are pretty full right now... 8-) ;)

Mihoshik should be credited.
I put the two drawings over each other, and major parts are still from his drawing.

I'm talking about the one on the funnel, not the one you posted.
