On the first drawing he had, he had ICBMs from an Ohio class as one of his missiles.

Yeah. That's still a mystery. Maybe it's like the SC-19? And is designed to be a ASAT or ABM ballistic missile? Or maybe like the DF-21D, anti-ship ballistic missile.

Hello everyone. Sorry for my late reply, RL got in the way, and I forgot to update my drawings here.

@ Catz: It was meant to be an anti-ship ballistic missile. I no longer have it though; Ace pointed out the guidance system doesn't reach that far.

Here is the newest version:

[ img ]

I left the midship open, as requested, and I did not add anything on the foredeck (yet). I suppose the midship needs some sort of cooling tower or ventilation unit?

Also, I think I need to add some more random details; ports, railing, lifeboats, doors...

Almost unrecognizable from the first design!

aah! now we are getting somewhere!
amidships we are going to put an unit for cooling etc, but also we leave space for the refueling operations. on top of the refueling hatch I was planning to put anti-ship missiles. leave it open for now, I have to think about it a bit.... but start already with some other stuff. add the VLS, the gun (oto 127, I thought?) and think about the CIWS (goalkeeper, RAM, etc.) and you can put an helicopter and flight deck railings on the stern.

Quick replies! That was in just five minutes or something?

Rodondo: Thanks. I suppose that is a good thing, since the original one wasn't that good. (EDIT: Let this be a sign; not everyone on NS comes up with lol-capital cruisers. ;) )

I'll add the gun, VLS, helo, and rails. I have found a good reference pic for those rails. CIWS will probably be the same goalkeeper II combination mount, like the original, with two or three mounts. I'll be back in about 15-30 minutes.

Haven't added the helo yet, sorry. But I think it may be better to leave things this way; gives the drawing a more "clean" look.
