Have posted the Hessen as completed and updated the Sophie-X! (wrong color scheme on the torpedo!)

Are you sure those torpedoes aren't training rounds? Warshots are usually done in low contrast colours.

Actually I'm not sure. I have a photo of the SST torpedo, which is in the bright colors shown in the Schleswig-Holstein drawing. But, besides having to draw that one, I've taken the other torpedoes from the torpedo parts sheet. Now, if anyone have better pictures, I'd love to see them, and I can always modify the weapon accordingly!

Actually, Alex, it never crossed my mind. However, I've stayed true to the real rendition, so I'm not going to change them. Thanks, though for pointing that alternative out!

Instead of opening a new thread, I dug my old one up and have, on first page, posted thoroughly redrawn and updated drawings of the Hessen and "Sophie X". As for the former, there is now a complimentary starboard elevation added and, as an extra (nice) feature, their Namenschildern or name boards.
That's what being on paternity leave can produce...

uhm.....
in the 4 year since you first drew these ships, at least the following parts have been updated:
- LW-02 radar
- bofors 375mm mortar
- HSA M44/45 director
- 100mm guns
some of these also apply to your drawing of the Köln class.
so, sorry to say, you'd best update the drawings again, as quite a few of these parts were redrawn due to size difference or inaccuracy.
EDIT: it also looks like the forward radar on the 'as build' drawing is also an DA series radar, somewhere between 02 and 05 I think, your own sources should be able to give you the answer and I think it uses an DA-02 antenna as well (at least the foot looks the same, antenna is hard to see on pictures I found)

Ace, I thank you for these tips, well, that may have been so, indeed. I'm guilty of not always having been able to pay proper attention to the most recent upgrades, but, since I do aim for as perfect, or shall we say complete drawings as ever is possible, if you don't mind coalescing the aforementioned parts on a single sheet and mail it to me? Would be awfully helpful. As for the remarks on the Type 120-thread, I will be sure to look closer into those as well.
