I'd like some more shading in the air intake, otherwise VERY nice!

I had no idea there was a Vulcan there! I was in Southend the other week (see above)!

I have indeed, really well written book about quite a awesome mission. I had to draw 607 really. Nice pics! It would be great to have a look around one.

Yeah I saw the Vulcan at the Windermere Airshow back in 2009. The most awesome thing you'll ever see and feel!

I hate to cast cold water on the 'Black Buck' raids.......ah well ;) But I tend to agree with 'Sharky' Ward, that for the amount of fuel and cost, and results, the Brits could have had dozens of Sea Harrier operations. That said, it gave the Brylcream Boys a stake in the combat operations against Argentina, so it had some value in diverting assets into mainland defence. It also may have (but I doubt it knowing politicians) rammed home the lesson that land based aircraft are a poor subsitute for fleet based air power. Anyway, it was a glorious postscript to the V bombers :)

No mate, I lived there for two years, but recently moved to sunny Basildon. From Plymouth originally.
