Is the aft-overhang structure (just forward of the floatplanes) present on the source material? On the real Yamato, this was to protect the boats from blast damage. Since all the big guns are forward on these designs, such an overhang would seem an unnecessary feature.

Well those turrets were never built and I across those on you and on the yamato. but I'll put other guns on them..
Yes that overhang was on all sources
