I think I have a shipbucket first with the first double ended ferry...... but that's not why I drew her. I saw this ship (and her sisters) sail many times, sailed on her for even more times, and I miss them a lot.....

these ships were quite good looking and seaworthy for an ferry, IMO. after the westerscheldetunnel was finished, these ships were sold of to italy, and now they sail between sicily and the mainland, IIRC. the way this ship looks right now will come soon, need to do some research on the changes made.

comments?
First posted perhaps, but not first complete. I have the Queen of Oak Bay at home done (I didn't have time to post it though v.v) Look back a few pages for the previews.

The grey areas are open to the elements, yes. Those are the car-decks.
Liferafts should be there, stupid mistake.

Edit: on more looking, I believe the boxes labeled "2" and "4" contain rafts and evac chutes

the upper car deck looks very low, that's why I was wondering.... btw, are the cars visible through there? and can you see entirely through the ship if no cars are inside, or are there walls inside?

There is a centerline structure housing elevators and whatnot for the passengers, so you couldn't see through it. You would be able to see some cars, depending how high they are (a low sedan maybe not, a truck yes)

how many car decks are there? because if you look at my ferry, you see the windows (which are on eye height from the car 2 decks) you see that the spacing in yours is a bit weird..... it might be that something is wrong with scale, but it also might be just an weird ship ;)
