I think I have a shipbucket first with the first double ended ferry...... but that's not why I drew her. I saw this ship (and her sisters) sail many times, sailed on her for even more times, and I miss them a lot.....

these ships were quite good looking and seaworthy for an ferry, IMO. after the westerscheldetunnel was finished, these ships were sold of to italy, and now they sail between sicily and the mainland, IIRC. the way this ship looks right now will come soon, need to do some research on the changes made.

Here is another of the Hansa Type A, built in 1944 as Adamsturm gor DDH "Hansa". In 1945 was ceded to Great Britain, and after 10 years of commecial service sunk in a collision in 1956. The ship was raised, repaired and sold to Argo Reederei as Auriga. Under that name she sailed till 1965 and then sold for scrapping.
