Minehunters

Minensuchboot 1915. Developed after WW1 broke out these ships were improved version of the existing German minehunters. They were armed with either three 8.8cm or two 10.5cm guns and carried 30 mines.


Minensuchboot 1916. Not much different from the M1915 in performance and armament these ships were the largest German minehunters of WW1.


Flachgehende Minensuchboote. Coastal minesweepers to be used in shallow waters; they had very limited operational radius due to their small size/low seagoing capabilities.

I like your minehunters, but it seems to me they lack a bit shading by the overhangs?

That's one fine looking ship. This series just gets better and better.
Those old German cruisers had a mix of old and new about them that made them very attractive ships.

Recently I've fallen love into Imperial German Torpedoboats, and I thougth why not warm up that relationship with
a small, 45 minutes work, started at 14:15, posted at 15:00 Finnish time.

The A class from 1916 presented the last generation of small hochseeflotte torpedoboats, The boat here is most likely A-56, as my sources were bit vague. There were some variation among the class... some having the forecastle break before the actuall bridge and so on.

A good subject, by the way. Torpedoboots should deserve more attention, especially considering that there are more than 15 classes of them in Kaiserliche Marine to choose from.
