As for the difference between these and CoA, I consider CoA/badges to be ships IDs, basically graphical representation of ship names; while company flag is, well, a company flag, representing ship's owner and having nothing to do with the ship itself.
It's like your personal coat of arms vs logo of your employer.

yeas that's what I mean, I understand your point of your opinion though.

For hauseflags, just drawn the flag in approriate scale and place it on the mast in the drawing. I agree with PB and WhyMe, that we should not clutter the drawings with all sort of extra just in the sake of it. Crest (when drawn in mediocore size) are good and proper, mostly becouse the actuall scale cannot ever present them in visual and reconisable way.
With funnebands, and houseflag, you can allready see them hoisted and painted on the ships.

I agree with Golly.
Most merchant logos are designed to be easily recognizable from long distances, so they're already easy to see in SB scale anyway.
The funnel bands even more so.

easier to be said, that those symbol's are not for one ship, but for an company.... so that would not be similar to the COA, but similar to showing the naval jack of the country the ship's belonging to, so those can not be seen as 'replacement' for each other.
