Seems a bit excessive, doesn't it?

Looking great. Thougth I cannot help myself nitpicking a bit about the size of the crest in the drawing. IMO a smaller rendition when using the smallest template could be more handier. Now it feels little bit like steeling the show from the actuall ship :?

Well, Golly, you may nitpick...but far from me to dare to even contemplate shrinking Master Kim's artwork! And I believe he explained how this size was the optimal one. Now, if he would consent to (and I'm not asking!) redraw the badges in a smaller scale, then, of course I'd be willing to refit the drawings! - But I leave that to Him who so Createth! 8-)

I recall allready seen smaller scale crest by him, so getting them migth not be that proplematic after all. (and yes, I would actually forbid anyone trying to do it by easyway and just rezise them)
However that currently used size is just too large in template wise. It suites well for larger ships in the bigger sheets, but not the smallest level when its taking 1/3 of the sheet.

EDIT: it was in the Keppel thread where the artist (  ) requested a smaller one and got such:

The two template sizes were posted for people to use; and I've used the smaller one on some of my drawings.

I've looked at this issue. In this particular case it's possible, but for others in the Niteroi class it will make the badges look awkward and insufficient. A proposal (I don't know if it "kosher"): Use the next size of template so the badge can be moved further to the right so it doesn't steel the picture from the vessel?

I disagree. Pretty much any ship badge can be made recognizable in much smaller size than you use now. Of course, it won't look exactly like the artwork you copy but that shouldn't be the point, right? ;)
