Not that long ago on a War Thunder forum someone made a thread that had the blueprints to the pre-war design for the Ålesund class destroyer (named post-war). It was a class of two destroyers laid down in April 1938 as successors to the much smaller and less capable Sleipner class. The design is armed with 4x120mm Bofors guns in two single and one twin mount. The AA armament consisted of 2 single Bofors 40mm guns and two Browning M2 machine guns. There were to be two twin 21in torpedo launchers. Speed was to be a moderate 34kts. Construction was taken over by the Germans and the two incomplete hulls were renamed ZN4 and ZN5 with ZN meaning Zerstörer Norwegen (later renamed TA7 and TA8.) Ultimately none were completed with TA7 being destroyed due to sabotage and TA8 was sunk in port and was recaptured and raised by the Norwegians with the intention of completing her post-war, but it utimately came to naught.

Ålesund class design as of 1939

Without seeing those blueprints, I am not going to comment on accuracy, but drawing quality is far better then the old one I did. And I will have no problem that it replace the drawing I did back then.

My drawing was based on photos and simple drawings of those 2 ships, so definitely not accurate after today's standards. (Note I used British main guns, since that what Norway mostly used on some ships, but they wasn't probably not even delivered at that time even)

Here are the blueprints since the original WT forum post no longer exists: https://i.imgur.com/Lx0GpKP.png

I also assumed that your drawing was the post-war design since it says former ZN4 and ZN5

Feel free to make the ZN4 and ZN5 variant as well, your's is more accurate in the lines, according to that drawing. I didn't have that drawing back then

Would it be prudent to keep the clipper bow instead of the original raked bow? It does make sense that the Germans would rebuild the bow to better suit their needs, since their own designs did have that style of bow.

Edit: Also, most sources state that the length would be 100m, which it would be if I add that German-style clipper bow to my drawing.
