The Great Naval race
Okay, Hi to all who I haven;t had the chance to say this to
. Last night after signing off I had this idea for a race. Below are the details.
The idea is to have a naval race, much like the one the Washington Naval Treaty was trying to prevent. The idea is that every nation's newest design must be simply "Better" than the other nations latest design, a sort of oneupmanship!
Teams-there will be nations represented by a team, these participants are
may not be from their actual nation of affiliation (eg a Brit can design a German Cruiser(Ironic!)) But patriots can decide. There may/may not be a head designer for each team, we'll see how big the teams can get ( if 50 people are designing for Britain and Germany gets 2) I suppose, say a small nation, will not have a large team though.
Time period-Thinking of starting in 1900-1906('bout the time of the advent of Dreadnought?)and going to WW2? Anyway we'll see!
Designs-Anything Naval, as long as it fits in the time period really
Getting this into the water-I think we would need about 5 teams of 3 to get this off the ground, we can expand the teams or add new teams if enough interest occurs
