This here is the redesign of the Vanguard that took place in 1941. Originally she was to use a lengthened Lion hull, with the same superstructure and medium and light armament. With the continious delays of the construction of the Vanguard, the decision was taken to redesign her with some of the lessons learned, both from the war in general and from experience from the KGV and PoW. The bow was lengthened and raised higher up, due to the removal of the restriction of being able to fire dead ahead at 0 degree elevation. Otherwise, it's mostly cosmetic changes to the superstructure and masts.
