Here's the HMS Hood as originally designed as a true, and pure battlecruiser.
When compared to as commissioned, note the lower draft, addition of four rear-facing 5.5" guns. I chose to color her as a war-time ship, since this is depicting the ship if completed there and then, with boats, bloomers and canvas cheathers painted in the same color as the ship. The boot-topping is painted in the Moravia anti-fouling paint, to reduce visibility.
