Updated the images, with Kim's splendid CoAs added. Really makes them look extra nice! Thank you so much (in case I haven't thanked you profusely enough! ;) )

Edits: New bridge structure, new 40 mm mount on the Brasil, tarp on the whaleboat on the same, blast shiled added for the Constituicao. And, of course a few minor ones!

Golly: Re: the stepped WL. Yeah, I was at the beginning really confused about that, but, Golly, it's the boot-topping, not the actual waterline that's stepped (or IRL curved graciously at both top edge and, most unusually, lower edge. WL is somewhere in between! I've studied numerous photos, some dockyards others where the units are racing at top speed, heaving and lifting their graceful bows prominently up to rise up above the sea level. And, yes, they all concur, this is a feature of the whole class! As for the shading, well, you may have a point there, but as I updated the two first ones without having access to your comment, let us leave them as they are for now and I'll, instead, look into your suggestion for the forthcoming ones! I do agree that their massive, uniquely shaped bridge is one of the major 'drool-factors' of this class; hence why I've been 'drawn' to it (forgive the pun!)

Well if the waterline is indeed straigth, why wouldn't then make it similar way you did it on your Type22, that add the "obligatory" black line there in the middle, and keep the dark part stepped without any black bordering? Atleast i suggest trying it, and see if it would look better.

Never thought of that, but, lemme see on the others to come, and if your suggestion works, i can always go back and rectify it on the two first ones.

Yes, Tacit also showed a very stepped waterline on his drawing, and I was planning (at some remote juncture in time) to remove it and then resubmit the drawings under his name; and yes, these are an improvement so please have them ready for the archive :)

A definite improvement although personally I'd love to see a version as she was originally built too.
I'm neutral on the boot topping, doesn't look too bad to me. Its not OTT in the way its done so it still looks pretty good without being too 'steppy'.

As, I think eagerly anticipated, I am publishing the first of the original, 'as built' versions. It was easier to simply modify the existing Constituicao to depict her as commissioned, in 1978. Since she and her sistership, Liberal, were the two GP-versions, she is sporting a second 4.5" gun right aft, on the fantail. It is turned for-and-aft pointing to the stem, instead of aft. Although it may seem odd, this was a common occurrence with Vosper-Thornycroft's export designs; thus the Iranian Alvands show it similarily. And this configuration is the most common shown in photos too. Also, she has two triple SeaCat launchers, one which is shown in her loading position.

Otherwise, she sports four MM40 exocet launchers athwardships (why they chose to re-position these on the Constituicao in an angled fashion, pointing slantingly forwards, I have not been able to learn!) and two Plessey Shield chaff/flare dispensers just below the SeaCats; one either side.

As for the suggestions left for me earlier, I've attempted to implement where feasable. I have thus lightened up the upper surface of the prominent forward round bridge casing, though I prefer to have the lights come on as it is; in fact most pictures seem to agree handsomely to my solution. Per Gollevainen's suggestion I added a CWL to enhance the unique tappered (wavy) form of the class' boot topping. I'm not entirely sure about the result, but shall leave that to the audience to comment.

Anyway, enough talk! I now give you the Constituicao as built, in 1978:
