STATUS UPDATE #017

(Please be sure to check out the linked page for the entire overview. Many thanks!)

  • Eurofighter Typhoon
  • Rheinmetall Fuchs 1A9 in eight variants; I was never really a fan of the KMW GFF4, so when Rheinmetall announced yet another Fuchs update I couldn't help but go there
  • Diamond DA42 MPP Guardian
  • KMW Skyranger 30 replacing the Skyranger 35 (I'd previously drawn the older turret, which KMW seems to have ditched in favour of a smaller, more refined turret with integral radar panels, short-range air defence missiles and a different cannon)
  • Rheinmetall X-TAR3D air defence radar on Iveco LMV 2
  • Fixed and refined my earlier take on Garlicdesign's A400M, and also included the counter-measures and landing lights which his drawing was missing
  • Once more, a metric ton of minor updates and fixes (e.g. shading, missing parts etc.)

I really like the blue tiger camo on your Typhoons!
Something different than most camos on jets these days :D

Thank you! It's not supposed to be a camouflage, though. Just a special livery on occasion of NATO's tiger meet. The real 741st actually did come up with a "Bavarian Tiger" paint job this year, but I have to say I wasn't blown away by it. Which is partly due to it being done through foliation, so the aircraft isn't completely covered. I guess, my version is what I'd like to have seen: a complete coat of tiger stripes, and more of a contrast.

There’s a lot of great work in this thread - I’ve really enjoyed seeing how this AU has evolved over time. Keep up the good work!
