San Marco-class Light Cruiser-Heavy Destroyer, this class of ships is a modification of the Capitani Romani-class Heavy Destroyer. Designed to oppose the French flotilla leaders - heavy destroyers (Contre-torpilleurs) of the Mogador class. Those who could easily destroy, thanks to its 8 152 mm guns, against the 138.6 mm of the French ships. Another remarkable fact is its Secondary Battery, Unique in destroyers.
