Chile is very little known, usually overshadowed, by its former enemy Peru, and its great friend Brazil ... before the pandemic, we almost had a civil war, and hardly anyone cares ...
I have no idea who are you dealing with to conclude that Chile is a very "little know" country. Internal politics or history of that country can be out of sight for most but the very existence of Chile as a country and its geographic location, as well as the rather specific shape of the territory, belong to the basic knowledge of geography. This is also a marine portal where this geographic knowledge is something ordinary. The mere interest in the topic of warships makes Chile appear on the map in the form of "Huáscar" or in the famous South American dreadnought race. So in the future don't presume that persons here, especially with "colour" nick are lacking in elementary school level education.
You had "almost" a civil war. There are a lot of places where there is actual civil war and multiple crisis. People tend to look at own turf first, then on other side of the planet.
