The top of N378UA appears to be lighter than the rest, but other than that, this is really impressive!

By the united logos? That was intentional, because they were decals, that did not match the paint.

Nice additions.

Now to wait for the other UAL fleet history photos (notably the 727, 767, 777, 787 & DC-10...)

Heinkel He 115 A-2

In the Europe-wide frenzy to rearm in 1939, Norway purchased 6 He 115 A-2 (also referred to as the He 115 N) to replace their obsolete biplane torpedo bombers.

[ img ]

The He 115's were delivered by November 1939, and in December another order was placed for a further 6 aircraft with an expected delivery of April 1940. However on April 9 Germany launched its invasion of Norway and the order never materialised.
Of the 6 Norwegian aircraft 1 was captured, and the remaining 5 were retreated north with the Norwegian withdrawal. With the Norwegian surrender 1 aircraft was flown to Finland where it found service with the Finns, and the others were flown to Britain - one being lost on the flight.

Heinkel He 115 A-2 in British service

After escaping to Britain with the fall of Norway, the Heinkels were brought into the Norwegian Group of the RAF.

The aircraft were used for covert operations to Norway and into the Mediterranean, with unfortunately conflicting stories of the missions carried out. This aircraft was destroyed by an Italian air raid on Malta while operating in to North Africa.

Any plans on making an American Airlines version of this picture?

Not any time soon, I am focusing on Eastern right now, and some rockets and missiles,

PGM-11A Redstone

After drawing the IRBM version, I wanted to draw the research and scientific variants, and thats when I discovered the Mercury capsule in the archive was scaled incorrectly, so I redid it, along with the early variant of the capsule,

Mercury Capsule

With that out of the way, I went about modifying the PGM-11 into the Jupiter A, Jupiter C, Juno 1, MRLV, and Redstone-Sparta.
