The Udema class was designed by F. G. af Chapman especially to fight in the archipelagos of Finland and Sweden.The could rowed or sailed and was a development from the galley. which hade 1 or two heavy guns on the bow. The Udema had some diffrent arrengments. Udema Ingeborg had a centerline battery of 8 12pdr guns on turnable carriages, and two 32pdrs over the bow.

Udema Ingeborg blew up during the second battle of Svensksund 9 july 1790.
