the type A looks quite good, although I don't know if there would be enough space for an NH-90 on the '3' position. the sonar looks somewhat large, but I guess you would use this ship as an ASW mothership. personally I would like an smaller VLS with only ESSM and maybe tomahawk...... but all in all, it looks like an interesting design, which would have done good work in the 'cold war situation' against the USSR subs. the only real thing lacking is some anti-ship missiles.

the type B though, makes absolutely no sense to me, and I would like to know the role you had in mind for it... as I can't think of any.

Hm! perhaps Lynx

Can be one of the properties of her, at the same time she can perform special opperasjon transport.

noted.

do not know what type of anti-missile ships I'll go for yet. The Norwegian or American. to go for a smaller VLS, Then I should have room for a small superstructure with built-in launcher for anti-ship missile.

Originally I had thought that it can function as an additional helicopter support for a fleet. But if I equip it with better sonar, so one can use it as a large ASW mother ships, with a very limit troop transport capacity.

an mixed airwing on an ship like this would be an waste of space to me. you would put OR all lynxes OR all NH90 on board. and it would be an waste of space if your helicopters could not use one of the spots..... simple solution: make an overhang of a few meters at the other side as well, with the structure on it.

for special ops you would need space to host marines.... or you could split the tasks of carrying the landing craft/marines and the helicopters (like the british do with albion and ocean) if you don't want that (I personally would not want that) you need to incorporate space for those.

IMHO, go for norwegian. and you have all your weapons at the bow: why not keep them there? space enough.

sounds good to me... but remove all weapons but the self defensive ones then. it would then do an more or less similar role to the HMS ocean.

Polar class Type C Batch 1

Type A is a kind of ASW mother ship.
Type B (To be) a little larger ASW mother ship with the main task in Special Operations. A task group with the "Type B" will consist of: type B and two Fregate / destroyers.
Type C: mainly an LHC, is specified: the front part of the ship is built up as a Frigate while the aft section is a LHC. The idea will thus be two ships in one. Type C has a kind of a Dirty Tricks in it's weaponary (have not decided that yet, if suggestions ...)

I would make the bridge lower, and would choose an different setup for the weapons. the current setup doesn't really help the helicopter operations.
my idea: make it an 'combat looking LPD' instead of an 'frigate LHD' that would make an setup with bow weapons much easier.

ESSM og 40mm dardo on the foredeck and 12.7 mm/20mm on the aft deck. Or should I just make it easy and have Ciws on the foredeck and stern.

that's up to you. most modern LPD's have only CIWS and some self defensive machine guns. you could put ESSM on it as well, but that is not necessary.
