Creating a template ... people are different ... this is very strange :? :? :? It is enough to know the scale :)

Actually, using black outlines is just abhorrent for such small scale drawings. Whereas in SB and FD outlines help to define drawing and better show it's borders, in 1.5px scale black outlines will dominate the whole figure. Furthermore, when drawing parts like weapons black outlines are often the sole thing which can be seen at the drawing due to complete shadowing of another color by dominant black outline too wide due to small dimensions.

Shortly Char will be posting proposals for the official scale/style. Stay tuned.

Black outlines of the entire profile will be required, but still up in the air if this includes all the interior lines. Weapons are best shown without dominant black lines (I agree on this).

After some time of people drawing in the scale, some templates have arisen and I want to share them with you so we can get opinions and a consensus.

Four of Gollevainen's templates, he's already using them to show AU finnish and future personnel. Neat and simple, probably will prove popular.

Not posted with his permission, and adapted to blanks also without his permission, but he probably won't mind.

Next up, Comrade Doggo turned the template I use on my tanks to a multiple vehicle template and I appreciate his work a lot. Thank you!

Last up, one made by Shigure, which has proven popular already. Has slots for front and back view for each individual soldiers, a place for the rank insignia, and slots for main weapon and accessories. Also modified into a blank without his permission.

Let me know what you think, and a very big thank you to all of you who have been working in this scale and creating templates, new parts and base bodies.

If you think something's missing do post it please.

Definitely like Shigure's the best for actual dudes. Golle's is nice, but I prefer the organization of Tris'.

Hi, Char. Excellent idea, a standard set of templates will be very useful. I prefer Golly's templates because they are simpler. One pair of questions about your style for tanks. Tha gun must be pointing to the rigth Or to the left? And the use of a "floor" is optional Or compulsory? Cheers!

In my opinion, land vehicles should be pointing left. This is how most diagrams are depicted and car designer sketches strictly point left, unlike ships which strictly point right. The floor is not a compulsory thing but I find it "sets" the tanks very well.

Greetings!

I would like to ask about or i guess suggest a rule (or the lack therof) considering vehicle battle damage in this scale. I think the size of Charscale/Soldierbucket presents a great opportunity to show battle damage on vehicles (ricochet marks, torn off sideskirts, busted optics etc. or even completely knocked out vehicles), and imo we should be allowed to represent it. It would be a great way to spice up regular drawings and give them some character.

Another thing that would be great imo would be for us to be able to combine soldiers and vehicles in this scale. I remember somone making side views of Charguizard's figures, and imo these (as well as the regular figures) would be great if combined with the vehicles people are making. For example, a sideview of a tank commander popping out of a tank's cupola and scanning the horizon with binoculars, or modified frontal views of soldiers riding desant on APCs/IFVs/tanks etc.

(first forum post yay)
