Hi mates.
I've looked if anyone was doing the Forward Repair and Support Vessel RFA Diligence. I found nothing, so please report back before I'll step someone over his toes ;) If nobody respond at this call, I'll start a new WIP with this extrordinary RFA vessel :D

Aye aye sir ;) She was built in Sweden in Lanskrona by Öresundsvarvet (The Sound Shipbuilding Yard) and launched in 1981 as a civilian oil rig support ship named Stena Inspector. She first served the RFA during the Falklands War as a civilian owned ship taken up from the trade. Stena Inspector was purchased by the Government in 1983 for £25 million pounds from Stena (UK) Line and renamed Diligence. She was sailed to the Clyde Dock Engineering facility, where she was converted and military features added, including a large workshop for hull and machinery repairs, supply facilities, accommodation, armaments and magazines and communications fits.
Maybe someone would like to draw her as Stena Inspector when I've finished. :?: :D

Now I've build most of the "pure" vessel except the under-hull (lack of pictures of that part!). I will present her for you naked as she is :D
BTW I'll build her in her current outfit as refitted finish in 2007.

THANKS :!: :D I really appreciate these sketches. Especially the second, which gives me what I need to draw the underwater hull ;) :D

:? Oh, what a bugger :!:  It's amazing that no one discovered my huge mistake (or at least didn't tell me) I had been so busy to meassure 112 m correctly out that I didn't see it became 122 m. I only discovered it because of Rifleman's helping me out considering the underwater hull, which didn't fit although it was the correct length. It was almost starting over again, but now I've got a bit progressing. Here the latest development:

Been busy with other things, so progressing is slowly. Have corrected the proportions a bit and began to build the cranes etc.

There had been some strike at the shipyard but now the work is taked up again  The major work at this time had been to construct and place the two Pelegrini cranes. Btw anyone who knows if other ships use these cranes? If so I might post them in the part sheets forum! Other progress had been to fine tune the hull and some few details had arrived. But there is still a lot of work to do ;)
