20x110mm police revolver and police powersuit based on fullback armor
has all the ballistic protection of the fullback and then some with none of the radiation or sacrificial hydride
thoracic trunk is protected against 14.5mm AP while Army standard is protected against 12.7mm AP only, meaning the police powersuit has approximately double the ballistic protection across the trunk
the rationale for this is that since the police powersuit is intended to perform a wartime duty of anti-special forces operations/counter-terror raids, it is more likely to face well trained shooters armed with anti-material/high caliber weapons (14.5mm machine guns and sniper rifles) while Army issue suits are generally intended to operate in conjunction with armored vehicles and light infantry armed with anti-tank/material weapons, and in large groups
the 20mm revolver is for killing enemy powersuits and fires an APDS round developed from the old 20x110mm aviation cannon, which was retired in the 1980s and 1990s from gallan military service, having been replaced by the Army caliber 25x137mm; the inability of a handgun to be easily modified to 25x137mm's extreme pressure meant that it was abandoned early in the search for a new "counter combat suit" service handgun for powersuit patrol officers
the revolver is recoil operated, with a barrel length of 45 cm, and generates slightly less than 1000 meters/second of muzzle velocity when firing a subcaliber, 150 gram, depleted uranium penetrator
it is normally carried in a crossdraw holster on the trunk of the powersuit, or at the waist, normally a no-no for a police service pistol, but if you can pull a ~85 lbs loaded revolver off the chest of a power armored cop, aim and fire it, and hit what youre aiming at, you probably cant be restrained by ordinary human means
the 20x110mm cartridge also arms the police and army fullback suits' "Type 42 Assault Cannon", which is a 20mm chaingun, powered by a power suit's internal engine, and fed from a 100-round helical magazine, similar to an aviation cannon; the primary ammunition is electrically primed high explosive incendiary (SAPHEI) and armor piercing incendiary (API) in complete, unitary belts
the police Fullback also has in its armory a combination 18.5mm submachine gun/25x59mm automatic grenade launcher for non-armored targets, and a variety of shoulder mounted grenades including CS gas, flashbangs, and riot control/rubber ball grenades
