After long time, I have something to upload here.

The drawing and the general concept of this vehicle is inspired from the UK Supacat ATMP, but in my own view. My vehicle is longer and 8x8 instead of 6x6, features a more powerful engine and I think that a secondary transmission with specially design belts would be more reliable than chains. Designed originally for Hellenic Army Mountain Brigades and Paratroopers, it features a Mercedes-Benz OM605 turbocharged diesel shared with some versions of Hellenic license built G-Class W462 together with MB automatic box. Most obvious differences from ATMP is that the A1700 has a convectional steering wheel, pedals instead of handlebars, rectangular hull and windscreen front. The A1700 supposed developed in late 1990's to early 2000 and entered full production in 2006. Deployed in Afghanistan, A1700 had much better performance from ATMP and its commonality with MB W462 simplified its supply chain. The success in Afghanistan and marketing resulted in export sales (Armenia, Georgia, Mexico and India). Latter bought production license because of the large order. Beside HLK, A1700 is in service with Cypriot National Guard.

Note that except HLK and Cypriot A1700s, rest are the "High Altitude" variant with even more powerful MB military spec engine.

All variants shown are those in service in HLK/Cyprus.

The only thing is, that it wouldn't work with the 120 mortar. The vehicle is too light and not strong enough. It would need at least a baseplate, but probably even that would not be enough.

Singapore offered the automatic 120 mortar SRAMS in Spider LSV Mk1 and I thought that it can work in this platform also. The mortar on A1700 is a hellenic built derivative of SRAMS.

Hellas AU had shown interest in Wiesel 1 for the 71st Airborne Brigade (this is a real Hellenic Army unit BTW) in 1982, when it was displayed in the German Pavilion of 1982 Defensys Expedition. The Five Year Defense Plan of 1985-1989 included the Wiesel 1 as well and through previous Defense Plan Army Aviation had purchased 24 Bell CH-47C Chinook helicopters, together with Bell 214A and AB-412 helicopters. The 214A was an order of 1975-1979 plan and deliveries of AB-412 continued until 1998. Latter was assembled locally under a joint program with Agusta which included AB-212 ASW/AS/EW for Hellenic Navy and Hellenic Coast Guard plus AB-412 for Hellenic Police, Marines, Gendarme and Frontier Guard. Note that deliveries of AB-212 started in 1975 and AB-412 in 1983 with assembled line including both types.

The Chinook and the AB-412 formed 3 new Army Aviation Brigades, equipped with US hardware. Next plan of 1990-94 included rebuilt of the CH-47C to CH-47DH1 (with the large fuel tanks from the MH-47, semi-glass cockpit, new avionics and a full self protection system. In 1995-99 Hellenic Kingdom ordered 24 more CH-47DH2 which were equipped for but not with refueling probe. Talking about Wiesel, Hellenic Airborne Troops have also Wiesel 1 with HOT missiles and Wiesel 2.

I thought that the addition of heavy lift CC-154 Bison would be useful to my AU Royal Hellenic Air Force, so here is my version and the back up history:

In late mid 1990's Hellenic Kingdom wanted a heavy lift aircraft for supporting peacekeeping missions, also own emergency assist missions aboard and heavy/bulky loads to Cyprus. Only two choices were available, used Il-76 from Russia or the used CC-154 Bison which were offered for sale. In total 18 ex-RCAF aircraft were purchased in 1996-1997, since Hellas preferred a western aircraft instead of a Soviet/Russian. The Five Year Defense Plans of 2000-2004/2005-2009 included a full rebuilt of old Bison to C.3 spec. A new squadron was formed for them (373th Heavy Transport Squadron), which operates 16 aircraft painted as below and 2 given to Hellenic Center for Polar Research, but still maintained by RHAF staff. HCPR purchased one more CC.154 Bison C.3 later plus two civilian Bisons from a defunct Canadian heavy transport airliner in 2014. These were used for spare parts, together with some extra airframes by RHAF.

The Bison supplement the 24 Lockheed C-130 of RHAF (18 C-130H/6 C-130H-30), which were also rebuilt to -J spec, since Hellenic Aerospace Industry participates to Super Hercules program from its beginning. All C-130J(H)/C-130J(H)-30 belong to 356th Tactical Transport Squadron.

Although Bisons belong to 112th Air Wing of Elefsis, their base is Larisa Airfield together with the MD-11C(K) and VC-10K of 372th Air Refueling Squadron because of airframe size and that this airfield is one of largest military airfields in Balkans in my scenario.

Aircraft were registered with a three digit numbering, from 771-785. HCPR units carry civilian registration, SX-DKA to SX-DKC.

P.S I think that KIKE92 would like my idea of a Hellenic Bison.

How about F-15 in RHAF service? They are air-superiority Eagles derived from the never where Saudi F-15F with CFT, AN/APG-70 radar and AIM-120 missiles. In total RHAF AU ordered 84 F-15, of which 48 F-15C(H) and 36 F-15E(H), including 12 operational trainers, classified as TF-15(H). 3 RHAF AU Squadrons use F-15 in my scenario, purchased in 2 batches of into 1990-94 and 1995-99 Five Year Defense Plans. A significant difference of F-15C(H)/F-15E(H) is that they have a refueling probe fitted into the right CFT.

Real Hellas did look in F-15 in late 1990's, but they were Strike Eagles and I just include the F-15H as my AU F-15E(H) since the F-15H was based on the F-15E Strike Eagle airframe. All my AU F-15 have been fitted with F110-GE-132 engines (2 x 32,500 lbf) and new electronics.
