Yes, sorry if I did not make myself clear; but Tims drawings illustrate better the query: that the Tartar magazine would appear be intruding into the same space as the Talos magazine - at least to limited knowledge of such technical matters :)

I have during my easter holiday redesigned/ reworked my twin end "Seadart" HSwMS Mannerheim, now a 6500ton ship - but with two twin SeaDart launchers and 2 x120mm TAK L60 guns and elevator hangar for a Wessex helo (removed in 1980s rebuild to just a pad for a lynx and two ABL for TLAM. VDS and TAS are fitted inte empty hangar space below deck.).

The Swedish answer to the Sovremenjy is also redesigned aswell as the Spica frigate.

I need some support/ inspiration for a late 1990s classical cruiser. She will act in a traditional cruiser role and in some areas replace the Kung Karl LPDs. Most important is that she can strike hard and act independently with very few escorts. Missions will be similar to the NATO strikes against Kosovo, UK actions in Sierra Leone and Aden aswells as large scale missions like Operation Enduring Freedom and pirate hunting off the somali coast.

My current inspiration is something between a ex.Slava/ Moskva and the Italian cruiser Vittorio Veneto.....

maybe it's just me, but the radar on the bridge structure looks weird.... maybe it is an outdated drawing? there is also an better version of the WM-22, and is it on purpose that the crane midships is so much lighter coloured as the rest of the structure? other then that, it looks great ;)

Huh. Sideways-loading Terrier....

Would this interfere with Talos? Also, Terrier/Mk 10 was designed from the onset to be incredibly compact. You would probably get away with vertical-loading Terrier without a single pixel change!

@Alamva Yes I know, I will do an upgrade of my partsheets soon.

First study, first attemt for my 1980s cruiser project. The replacement of the Äran and maybe the Kung Carl classes. She is loosly based on the sovjet Slava and the US CG-47 classes. My main cocnern is her main air/ surf search radar. SPY-1 can not be fitted due to her general layout and export problem. I would like to have the SMART-L but thats about 15 years to early. Right no she uses the SPS-48 (PS 860), in IRL use by the RSwAF, aswell as my AU ships.

1. Mannerheim Class DDG
This class started as a joint british and Swedish projects around the the SeaDart system in the late 1960s. While britain left the shipbuilding program whith the more expensive type 43 and finnaly ended up with the Type 82 and the smaller Type 42 classes Sweden descided to go for a large destroyer to replace lots of ageing World war 2 cruisers and destroyers in the airdefence role.

The class had some promblems with their large enclosed hangar beneath the aft deck. Therefor the hangar was removed during the MLU in 1986-90 and replace by ASW equipmen and two ABL for Tomahawk TLAM. SSMs where planned but not fitted. The HSwMS Mannerheim served with the coalition forces at operation desert Shield and desert Storm in 1991 aswell as in the crisis in the Adriatic after the breakdown of Jugoslavia, firng TLAMs against targets inside Serbia. The where withdrawn from frontline service between 2004 and 2010, beeing replaced by the Nordenskiöld class.

Wow! Looks fantastic. The only comments I could gave is that the aft gun FCR could use a ''prodection wall'' because if the missile is firing the FCR will mostly damage!
