I was thinking about something when I was working on some designs for my alternate US Navy designs. What if the US had kept, or bought the two Rivadavia class battleships from Argentina. I decided to read, and I saw that the Argentine navy was looking to sell the Rivadavia and the Moreno after Brazil "sold" the Rio de Janeiro (Agincourt). The US was not very happy about any possible sale of the two ships to a third party, but did not want to buy them them selves as they were considered "outmoded" by more modern battleships, the upcoming Nevada class in particular. None of this mattered anyway, as the only drawing we have is a very old, and stylistically outdated drawing made by Alvama. So I did the only reasonable thing, and spent the last 7-8 ish hous drawing the Rivadavia myself.

What made the Rivadavia class special is that she is a mix of prominent American features, with hints of German and Italian in her aswell.
I dont know if the colors are correct. I used colors from an Argentine destroyer made by Garlicdesign.

Rivadavia as commisioned in 1914:

Rivadavia as she appeared in 1937. She and the Moreno would look like this until the very end of their careers in 1948.

Hi, Karle.
Only a little remark to your nice drawing: the flag of the admiral is in azzure blue, a darker shade, instead the sky blue. Cheers.

Yes. Azzure with 4 white stars is the flag of the c-in-c of FloMar.

I used some bleach and the stars are now white. Here's hoping there's no stains.
