There are some accounts about the condition of Juneau's wreck? I suppose it would be in very bad shape (even broken in multiple parts, not just two) givent the battle damage suffered and the catastrophic explosion that sent her to the bottom after being torpedoed by I-26

RV Petrel's Facebook page states that she is in three pieces; the bow and stern near to each other and about 800 yards away from the main portion of the wreck...which still has its camouflage pattern intact. ;)

Petrel announced just now they have located IJN Niizuki, an Akizuki-class DD. The find is made even more significant in that there are no known photos of Niizuki when she was in service.
