I've got only one word: Brilliant! - Actually it's more than that: it's stupendously brilliant! WE have a new Master of Art at SB! All Hail Him! ;) :D

Very nice ships badges Kim :) But one problem is that you've made them larger than even the larger of your previous templates; and I'm not sure why, as with them so large I can't see how they can be included on drawings

:? Hmmm? That shouldn't be so. I've used the same basic stem form, so it ought to be same size. Anyone with the same observation? :?:

Anyhow, here is two more (or rather four, because HMS Sheffield C54 1936-1967 used the pentagon shield, and the Type42 Coventry with the unfortunate fate at Falkland too)

HMS Sheffield C54 1936-1967 and HMS Coventry D118 1974-1982

Excellent badges, but one thing which caught my eye, was that HMS Boxer is upside down

Kim, I remain stunned and mezmerised at your incredibly high and erudite artisanship! What more can I say?!? Just plainly outstanding. I feel as if my Type22s, which, co-incidentally began with the HMS Sheffield, for which I grew a very serious interest, now will have a most noble companion, for these shields in themselves are pure artwork, that merits a full Google-search when searching these ships! And Novice, no, you're wrong and Kim's right, and so am I, just look at the HMS Boxer within this thread!

Now, Kim, remain one important question: would you be willing to complete the full series of coats-of arm, if I, in turn, will draw the two missing vessels in Batch 1, the Broadsword and Brazen? I never really had an intention of doing the entire class. I was for a long time fully and sufficiently happy with the Sheffield, but as I collected material, I saw how much, even in detail the ships differed, and before I realised it, I was doing ship by ship...

A note here about the Coventry's shield. As Kim correctly pointed out the pentagonal shield was used by the Type42 destroyer Coventry, sunk at the Falklands. But, if one scrutinises the pictures of the Type22 frigate with the same name, you'll find that the same shield is displayed on the flukes of the funnel! A true tribute then to that unfortunate predecessor! You'll notice this in more clarity on my rendition of the Coventry (F97)
