You really need to do something about all the different colours on the superstructure. I realize that's probably how it looks in the pictures, due to the paints deteriorating in various ways, but since SB is supposed to show ships in pristine condition, they would all be the same colour.

I think maybe you are trying to indicate depth by various shades on the superstructure, rather than fading? I wouldn't personally object to that when done in a subtle way. Re the nets you've drawn, I like them as being more life-like; and if you are promoting them for the parts sheets I would support that. Overall this is a really excellent drawing, and my congratulations on it - and looking forward to seeing it completed.

I'm still not digging the colour. They go against the standard

I do dig the colors since they clearly and beautifully emphasizes the complicated deck- and superstructure layout of the ship. In my view, Kim has done a wonderful job in creating an almost three-dimensional effect. And Thiel, I think I've gone somewhat against the standard with my drawings too, for precisely the same reason, that I think Kim is doing, and he's come up with a new phenomenon which I think we ought to celebrate: Shipbucket-Reality-Art. This is, in fact, the way I always attempted to illustrate my ship-drawings when I was limited to the doodling on paper with pencil, ink and ruler (and, of course eraser!)

Thanks all of you for your positive and constructive comments. Only one thing; I'm a bit confused about the colouring which Thiel write about. I don't see the tutorial is clear enough about it. It says to use a darker grey on the hull and a lighter grey on superstructure and weapon, but not about if it is allowed to give depth or not with a different grey! I have read in discussion about the issue, and as I understand what Colloseum and Gollovainen wrote it's allowed to use three different grey. But maybe I misunderstand the discussion???
