...Why? There's already two different versions (Waterwings and mine) in the archive. If you're going to do anything, update an existing version like I did, don't make a new one.

Sigh. We don't need more remakes of existing ships, not when they're good enough with some new parts.

This is not a remake, it's a completely new drawing.

Yes, exactly. Re-make.

If this is to be believed then even your rendition of SAMPSON is somewhat too small. The Vigile looks great though.

Damnit, I looked for that, and I couldn't find it. That's 32 pixels, just one pixel less than the old mount. I just went off the fact that it's about as wide as the top of the tower.

If that's true, then the lower one is the correct scale:

And Duncan is this:

I find I'm much better at parts drawing then complete ships nowadays. Translating things to tiny detail is fun.
we make a good T45 team then, because I always find the general shape okay and the small details the most impossible and frustrating thing!

I'll admit I haven't revisited the T45 for a long time, but it's amazing how a minor change to a component can make a ship suddenly look right, in a way. I might go back and update the hull shading to be more in line with my more recent stuff ... the aim is to eventually make a data sheet with all the RN/RFA ships on it, but I've still got a while to go on that ... shouldn't have wasted all that time drawing Ocean just before she was decommissioned  I'm also hoping that's not soon true for Albion :?
