Hey just found this site about a hour ago and already got inspired to draw some ships :)
iv drew ships in MS Paint when i was bored at work years ago! Never knew there is a community for these things...
here is my first try in years:
its still WIP. more progress soon.

Good start.However I would check the length before you go much further.Fairmile D was 115ft long,a whisker over 35m. :?

A good start. As mentioned the 'Dogs' were 115 ft long and that means 230 pixels.

thnx! iv already started working on the Oliver H Perry class.
almost finished with the dog. finished product i will post soon.
sorry about the scale nothing i can do now cuz paint will screw up my drawing.

awfull. you've put guns on it from different time era's, the props seem to be wrong, and because it is the wrong scale, it is nothing like the real ship.
that said: it is not an bad drawing. it's just not shipbucket, and there are many mistakes.

It pays dividends and a lot of subsequent extra work to check the overall length from at least two separate sources before you start drawing.

Nothing inherently wrong with that. There's plenty of ships around that are seemingly carrying antiquated weapons despite being new builds. This is especially true for patrol boats.
From what I've read, the Fairmile D class were armed with just about anything that could be spared.
