Good morning, guys!
A numerically important italian gun, which was already obsolete when it was introduced in 1901. Cannone da 149/35.

A gun without any recoil system (a pair of ramps were used to absorb the recoil), but with a good range (unfortuantelly the shells had an awful dispersion, the precision was bad, due imperfections of the shell, not of the gun itself). It was used in WWI, the invasion of Abyssinia, the Spanish Civil War, and in almost all the fronts involving the italian army in WWII. Shown as it was in the ill conducted campaign against Greece in 1941, and as it was in a fixed position with an armoured dome of the crown type (without central pivot) in the western italian Alps before WWI. Nice truck, Madscotman (even looking to the west )! I was surprised by the low size of the truck until I noticed the word "underground". Well done!

Now, two long procastinated armoured trucks of the Spanish Civil War: Chevrolet AAC-37 and UNL-35.


Both of them were used in the brief "civil war within the civil war" in Barcelona in May 1937: The republican "govern" with the aid of the communists, crushed the anarquists and trotskists elements which were very strong in Catalonia. The first UNL-35 is depicted as it was used to support the Guardia de Asalto in that occasion. AAC-37 was made in Catalonia using Chevrolet and Ford truck chassis and several kinds of turrets were used: Mod. 1 used a turret from FT-17 tank, and Mod. 2 from T-26 tank. Both models were captured in substantial numbers (at least 18 AAC-37 in El Ebro alone) by the Nationalists. With the fall of Catalonia, several of this vehicles crossed the border to France, some were used by the French army (with the same color scheme of the republican Spain). Finally some of the AAC-7 were used by the Wehrmacht in Barbarossa, and found its road to Moscow in 1941. Cheers.
