Fundamentally it raises the question of how many fighting vehicles are meant to be in the platoon (in the real-life OrBat). Number of 29 tanks suggest two companies of 14 plus 1 in BG HQ - and that in turn implies 3 platoons of 4 and 2 tanks in company HQ (or 4 platoons of 3 tanks, Soviet-style, but in that style there would be just 1 HQ tank). On the other hand, Your OrBat for the Armoured Brigade 90 (which, I assume is also taken from original sources) gives 20 tanks per battalion, which gives typical Soviet-style company of 3 platoons of 3 tanks plus commander's vehicle. So it's essentialy impossible to extrapolate anything from this in relation to mechanized infantry.

well in Norway we operate with two units with 26 Leo 2A4 in each, we are changing it to 3 batallones with 13 leo 2A4 in each have government decided, but it is criticized by the military. They says tanks more effective when they are placed in large 20+ battalions, to have just a few tanks operate alone, can easy be picked down, one by one... Just like France in WW2, according to the "interweb" france had more tanks and better tanks, than the Germans, but since they was spread out, the Germans could just pick them one by one by always have more tanks in every encounter than their opponent.

But what do I know, I'm not a historian.

Fun fact, Sweden are going away from the tank model we in Norway are going for now, and are putting all there tanks in large battalions, instead. Sweden says, small battalions doesn't work!

Yeah, Eswube, thats appears correct assumption. This dilemma definetly intrigues me to return to the matter once I get to do more research of the matter. The sad reality is, that in the interent, Finnish military things are really poorly covered, usually focusing some irrational detail or fanboi ranting. Only few publications are available, and all is scathered around beyond google's abilities.

In finnish context, the mechanised infantry and tanks have been under the same battalion level organisation, and this AU follows the suite that way. The old Armoured btl's in the brigade structure were similary organised, and so are the new Mechanised battle groups

NOTE: Some vehicles here are not kitbashes/recolorings, despite the basedrawings allready exists. The reasons are offscalings, and "painting" eq using colorblocks and multible hues instead of logical and simple black lines to border areas that are then colored in single color = what SB and FD style is all about.

guns are big, specially the bigger gun-howitzers. its going to get bigger when we get to the cold war&modern stuff. But next comes AT and AA guns and possibly some railroad ones
