Based off of V9552, currently located in the Shuttleworth Collection and painted as V9367 and in the all-black markings of No. 161 Squadron

Good morning:
"The poor man Spitfire", the well liked DHC-1 Chipmunk "Chippie".
[ img ]

The first one, is a Canadian aircraft with the typical bubble perspex canopy prefered by RCAF. The two british (RAF and RN) ones. A privately owned Chipmunk with British Airways colors, as seen at Belgium in 2009. And a portuguese built aircraft of the Academia de Forca Aerea at Sintra at the mid seventies. Cheers.

Nice work reytuerto, but I would outline the opening opening portion of the sliding canopy with black rather than grey to make the canopy stand out better.

With all the hard work you have undertaken lately James, did you do your drawing off the real thing, having just bought one?
