Yes, she is really large. Reason for that size was the requirement of accomodating 2 Super Frelons, which is still the largest helicopter designed and built in Europe. Therefore she had to be built with an enormous hangar -mind that the SA-321 is 6.6m high and 23m long with rotors turning.

On the other hand, Hellenic Navy follow somehow the Soviets in armament on warships. And the forward faced missile launchers were indeed inspired by a Soviet warship, the Pr.1134 Kresta.

Awesome ship!

It is intended to have the Mk26 twin launcher been replaced by Mk41 VLS during some MLU program?

No, because the HSAM-5 was designed to fit in the Mk26. And there is still stock of SM2-MR (RIM-66K-2) available. Both ships actually passed their MLU program in mid to late 2000, beause this is the newest version. Both ships will serve until 2025 at least.

MLU program included:

-New CDS to replace the obsolete NTDS
-Newer variant of ARIS IV,
-Supersonic anti-ship missiles HSSM-4, 180 km range
-Tweaks in main radars (I need to change the surface search radar, in AU reality is equivalent with Israeli EL/M 2238)
-Main 3D radar is similar with Japanese OPS-24 in technology used, but is more powerful with a large rectangular antenna. Initially, XIV radar had issues with cooling, but when technicians of Hellenic Microwave Laboratory solved the cooling problem XIV showed very impressive performance.
-Modification of OTO Melara 127mm for firing Vulcano rounds (in real world Italians have modified the 127mm Combatto guns of their Durand de la Penne DDG for Vulcano, so it can be done.

Edited the cruiser with underwater hull (as I had it). Please comment for improvements.

-I chose these names instead of original from Spartan Admirals, first name is used also in a frigate of real life Hellenic Navy.
-This cruiser has very similar power plant with Invisible Class, so I am thinking of 'borrowing" cooling water intakes for the gas turbines from Invisible drawing.
-Stabilizing system of course exist, but I am not sure were to place it.
-Hull shape is very close to that of CGN Virginia, but longer and wider. My cruiser shares also draught with CGN Virginia.
-If wondering about Sea Arrow 2A & 2B position on the ship, the "2B" is the dome in front mast (similar with Japanese FCS 2-21) and the "2A" is that on rear mast.
-Where I can find the proper SB-scale templates?
