Good morning:

Hi everybody! I'd finished the french made PR-72P of the Peruvian Navy.

I was unable to find an accurate picture of the stern mount for Igla missiles (an even the information is contradictory about that mount, MGP-86: some sources says that is for 1 missile, other that is for 3 and there is even one that says that is for 5!), so I decided to depict BAP 22 Santillana as it was in 1985.
Credits: As this is my first "modern" warship (well, is of late 1970s :? ), I tried to mimic the style of several well known artists: Gollevainen and Ern, MConards, Superboy. And I am thankful for the advices of Henrik, Tobius, Odysseus and Ace! To all of them, lots of thanks. Cheers.

PS: I am somewhat confused about the netting in the stern. Is such small ship helicopter capable? Because the netting is placed there before the appearance of helicopter-type drones (and I don't know the utilization, even the adquisition of that kind of drones by the Peruvian Navy).

I would suspect that, if the stern is depicted accurately in your drawing, this type of netting was adopted to clear the field of fire for the 40mm mount.

Very nice work! :)

As Erik_T mentioned, this netting is rather for 40mm gun. While generally there are helicopter-capable warships of similar size (CNT Tipo 550 class or Lurssen FPB-62 for example), here is just too little space for any helicopter to land safely (even if the 40mm gun barrel would be turned to the side).

The rear gun is indeed the OTO Breda Dardo, somewhere there are newer versions of several naval guns, included this also. Also there is newer OTO Melsra 76mm and Exocet boxes, but the drawing is really good. Well done reytuerto!

This is a very nice drawing, there are some newer parts available but overall this is a well drawn and shaded ship.

Thanks for your feedback, guys!! I will fix the datails of the guns with Heuhen's new parts sheet (thanks! May I ask where are in the new format the latest parts sheets?).

PS. Thanks also for the answers about the stern netting, it makes sense!

After my understanding acelanceloet are working on new partsheet for the new web-side.

you find all parts, in the parts sheets discussion section of the forum:
viewforum.php?f=16

If you ask him nicely, he might PM you what he have, if not, I can do it in one of next days... mine haven't been updated for some time.
