More from Ethereal:

In the regional fleet is a Bombardier Dash-8 400 of Ethereal Connection:

Ethereal began their operations in 2004 using the A310-300, retiring the type in 2011. This example sports the first iteration of their livery, and it is shown as it appeared before Ethereal joined Skyteam in 2006:

Ahh, that's awesome! I like that!

I already painted pixy's F-15 few weeks ago, but your paint job is also pretty good!

Very nice work. I assume its more or less a RR Kestrel powered Gladiator?
Would have made a nice competitor to the Hawker Fury.

Close, but not quite, RR Peregrine II. I edited the previous post, so, no, Hood was not asking a dumb question. :)

In 1940, when the second delivery to the Hellenic Air Force had to be canceled for the Gloster Glaives, Gloster immediately turned to Ireland and offered 4 of them on credit to make up for the failure to deliver 4 Gladiators due to the 1939 arms embargo against Ireland. They were delivered, with 4 more purchased. The IAC gave them the serials 57-64; 57-60 would have gone on the ordered Gladiators. No.1 Fighter Squadron rather enjoyed the Glaives over the Gladiators, as they were slightly more maneuverable, and of course faster. A favorite trick of the Glaive pilots was to "bounce" on the Gladiators.

I love it! It's like a beefed-up MD-90/717 alternative. A hypothetical "727 MAX" featuring newer LEAP engines, winglets, and a glass cockpit with only two crew would make a great AU design.
Current CFM LEAP engines would not have the sufficent power rating (they do 23/32lbf or 104/140k) for a 757-sized airplane. the former RR and PW engines generate much more thrust (37/43lbf or 166/192k).
You know, I was kind of assuming that since the 727 shared a fuselage cross-section with the 737, the 737's powerplant would work there, but now that I put the drawings side-by-side, I can see how much larger and heavier this airframe is.

An AU more powerful hypothetical LEAP-1D would be needed for the job.
You know you want to take a crack at it now. :P

And, so.......
[ img ]
727-MAX-3 is a simple CFM+winglets addition (and cokpit without eyebrows windows as to suggest a 2-crew flight deck similar to that of the 737NGs and 737MAXs.
727-MAX-5 is a full on mix between a 727-300, a 757 and the 737MAX, featuring split winglets, 757 nose and doors and 737MAX APU.

It looks as the Boeing´s DC-9 version (with newer engines)!
Very well drawn, both jet airliner and fighter biplane!
