Really good work going on in here
Thanks :)
I must say that it was a really interesting drawing, a bit long but interesting. I've learned a lot about Soviet/Russian boomers.

I really like how this thread has grown and everything is nicely executed.

Great Britain, SSK "A" Class Submarines (1902-1904).

Amongst the earliest of the home grown British subs. I ran into the class while surfing on-line,..stumbled on a maritime archeological firm's efforts to document the remains of "A-7" which sank with all hands.

The drawing documents the two basic conning tower designs. What's not evident are the incremental interior design changes in engines, etc. These early boats were expirimental to say the least.

That is an amazingly well drawn A Class, Craig.
A very fine addition to this thread.

I remember watching a documentary a couple of years ago about the exploration and planned preservation of the sunken AE7 in the Sea of Marmara. It certainly seems a technical challenge given the age of these hulls and the metals they were built from.

A wonderful drawing of a vessel of my favorite era (from warrior to dreadnought ;) ) in a bigger scale: thanks!

Very well done! Amazing that men volunteered for sub duty
before WWI. Small boats and a very high accident/loss rate.
