While of an slightly earlier date, it might be interesting to look up the DG/AEGIS series of ships, which were back then the minimum size AEGIS ships.

as for your design, it looks quite nice! what kind of powerplant were you thinking?

minor remarks, I am not certain how the forward phalanx platform is laid out, and please do not use that godawfull propeller :P (it is somewhat old, not really representing anything real and it is sitting slightly crooked on its propeller shaft)
steal one from the more recent project DX or burke drawings or something like that :P

I used the screw of the really old "equipment" sheet I found. I'll find a better, more up to date screw and put it on there.

As far as propulsion, I was thinking either straight gas turbines (Drawing as shown has 2 shafts, so one turbine per shaft) or CODOG. I feel like a pair of LM2500s is finding their way into the engineering spaces one way or another, but they might get some help from some diesels too.

yeah, a perry powerplant ( 2 LM2500) makes sense, but might be a bit underpowered for a ship this size, and you also have the issue of 2 shafts and 2 turbines needing some kind of cross coupling (or trailing one shaft) if you want to go to low-power cruising. Take a look at the euro-frigates how they solved these kind of issues, their doctrine is completely different then that of the USN

I'm seeing a lot of CODOG and CODAG, and most frigates averaging about 29 knots. That would work...I think a full COGAG arrangement might fit, pushing this thing up into the 32+ knots range, but the fuel capacity would suffer, hurting the ship's range.

CODOG or CODAG would probably be best.

Power plant: Diesel and turbines with electric motors
Speed: Depending on Batch and power plant. From 30 knots to 40 knots+
Crew: 145
Armament:
5" gun
Sea sparrow
10 x penguins missiles
Mistrals + 4 x manpad
4 x 12,7 mm machinguns
Space for but not with (depending on batch and year build):
GMLS or VLS between penguins launchers


I am reworking the AU due to Dropbox... But with work and a lot of overtime...

The bow of your ship looks very seawhorty! The lines are sleak and is nice with any bulky superstructure or masts. One question: The Mistrals are replacing a CIWS? Cheers.

the hull, I tried to get an hull that would stay stable at speed in any sea condition, but also have sharp enough bow to cut the wave... while at high speed

there are several reson:
- date of build/designed (AU)
- weight
- role in the fleet. here role is more in the ASuW department, than ASW and AAW
