Apart from the somewhat ragged flotation line aft - ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!

I had the idea to draw the second Esmeralda at some point in the future, but seeing what you achieve, she's all yours!!!

Nice work!
It is much larger than I thought, 1891 probably was the most advanced light vessel in south american waters (Pacific or Atlantic), Cheers.

Just kidding, I'm glad you're back in action and with style.
Besides having my doubts about the waterline as well, I absolutely adore it! I just want to pull it from the screen and toy with it!
Do you intend to depict her in her gray scheme (c.1910)? Also, do you have any drawings of her? I've never been able to find one.

@Garlicdesign you can find an SB style drawing of Esmeralda II (1855) by a fellow called Dicc93 here: http://base.mforos.com/1498907/7361942- ... 1855-1879/
I'm posting them so everyone can see them. Did this person maybe once belong to the forum? Otherwise I'll try to contact him/her/it, see if we can share stuff.

This person has also done other things, among such the River-class escorts, including Esmeralda V.
And of course, Gunship has already done Esmeralda VI (AX-45), which is in the archive.

I'm currently 75% done on Esmeralda III (1884) and just started Esmeralda IV, I hope to put them all in a nice thread when I'm done.
