Interesting. How many SuE did Portugal ordered in that scenario?
I'm thinking something like 32, for four squadrons of eight.

As far as I know, Dassault wanted at least 40 orders to re-open the SuE production line after closing.

I'm thinking that since the order went in just as the last Aeronavale examples were coming off the line, they'd just keep it open for these last few rather than completely restart production.

Then Argentina AU sets order for 14 more airframes and production line closed behind these.

Nice paint schemes.
By Cold War-era NATO standards (actually by standards of any "serious" air force) 32 fighter aircraft are not 4 squadrons of 8, but 2 squadrons of 16.
In those days fighter squadrons in NATO countries usually had 16-24 aircraft (and never less than 12, except for carrierborne units for small carriers) - generally with number of aircraft divisible by 4 (except for trainers, if they were not attached to separate OCU).
8-aircraft squadrons happen with transports, maritime patrol aircraft and I believe that RAF's V-bombers were grouped in 8-a/c squadrons. ;)

Yep, the V-Force operated 8-aircraft squadrons. Hell, sheer mathematics tells you that at the end the SACEUR-assigned Valiant units were only operating six each (four squadrons and a total of 24 aircraft).

Next up, remember when the Mexican Navy ordered a squadron of Su-27's? No? Personally I always thought the MiG-29 was a better bet purely on cost grounds...

Mexican F-5E's replaced by secondhand Fulcrums, brought up to the same standard as Malaysia's MiG-29N. And of course operated by the air force rather than the navy.

Having completed the update of the A350, I decided to go ahead and do one of the AU liveries I had planned. This is an Airbus A350-100 operated by Ethereal Airlines, Wikipedia and Universe's second-largest airline after Wikipedian Airways. I may create a thread for this airline or for Wikipedian carriers in general at some point in the future. This example is painted in a promotional livery featuring the logo of the Electrobeach Music Festival, which Ethereal Airlines sponsors as part of a partnership with Air France. Promotions and partnerships with various electronic music bands and festivals around the world are a unique part of the airline's branding and business model.

Holy holy! how much you stretched it over the -900? :D

edit: I derped out heavily. Somewhat this morning I convinced myself that the 350-1000 was the speculated -1100 stretch
