Tempest, there is a lot of doom and gloom about Dropbox taking away the public folder. For the last 2-3 years there has been 2 versions of Dropbox. The original is the 'Public' folder version, the 2nd and still in use version does not use the Public folder, and will continue for the foreseeable future. Dropbox itself is not disappearing 'yet'.

Until the new site is created with its imagehosting features, my suggestion is to use imgur.com.

At least for me the dropbox still seems to work. I mean I can upload images from my public folder.

My uploads to dropbox are gone now, as are heuhens in the threads I checked. can somebody check the files of the ones who used the 'workaround'?

I used the 'workaround' and it seems that it's still working for me.

For now, at least.

My 'workaround' links are gone now.
