Boeing 747-400QLR.
[ img ]
Where QLR stands for Quiet Long Range. it was a variant of the 747-400 proposed by Boeing in 2002, It featured raked wingtips increasing wingspan to 67,8m and improved General Electric CF6-80 engines with exhaust chevrons for noise reduction, other than an increase in MTOW to allow for a maximum range of 14.800km. Despite failing to attract customer interest and never moving from the board to actual production many of the QLR improvements were later further refined for the 747-8.

Boeing 747 ASB (Advanced Short Body):
[ img ]
Announced in 1986 as a response to the Airbus A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11. It would have combined the advanced technology used on the 747-400 with the shortened 747SP fuselage. The aircraft was to carry 295 passengers a range of 8,000 nmi (9,200 mi; 15,000 km). However, airlines were not interested in the project and it was canceled in 1988.

If someone might want the gear down PW and GE or the gear up RR for wathever reason, just PM me or copy-paste the main landing gear section from the 747-400s sheet.

SARO Duchess, the follow-on design from the Princess. Unfortunately never progressed past aerodynamic/hydrodynamic models, although TEAL, which became Air New Zealand, was very interested to replace their Solents on the Coral Route in the Pacific.

At first I thought the fuselage was too thin, but then I searched for some images and indeed it was that narrow. Not sure what the Saro engineers were thinking but I guess it would have been strong enough.
Another interesting drawing.

Prior to MDD buying Boeing with Boeing's money, they had considered both a shrink and a stretch of the MD-95. After the purchase, the consideration continued and settled on an eight frame shrink (three aft of the wing and five forward) in the form of the 717-100X, and a 9 frame stretch (4 aft, 5 forward) in the form of the 717-300X. The shrink program was ended by mid 2003, and the stretch was never proceeded with despite interest from classic DC-9 family operators as Boeing preferred to focus on the 737 family (the 713 would have overlapped with the 73G). Thanks to Eswube and Nighthunter for a good base:
