Cascadia's window colour/s are definitely more realistic and look a great deal better than the 'Standard window colour'. Rules are there to be bent occasionally

I disagree. Cascadia's windows could also represent a dark painted panel. The standard sb window colour is meant to be 'a window, and nothing else'. realism, considering windows, is almost impossible, since they are completely dependent on what is behind them and lighting conditions.

Great additions from everyone.
I'm pretty easy with the window colouring actually, I think its the last of the 'cartoonish' shades we still possess from the old days and can stick out a bit given the more accurate shades we're now using for underwater hulls, propellers etc. The same goes for aircraft too, though I agree at SB scale for aircraft such details could be missed (though portholes tend to be obvious on airliners etc. not to get mistaken for other panels).
