In 1965-1967 six seagoing tugs of the Wangerooge class were built for the German Navy as part of 1960 shipbuilding program:


In 1978 Juist and Baltrum were modified to diver training vessels:


In the same year Langeoog was rebuilt into a minelayer/lightship:


In 2002 Norderney was transferred to Uruguay as ROU 23 Maldonado:

Great looks on this series, and good job teasing out the different variants. The details on the cranes and the relief of the bridge wings are particularly good IMO.

A few points stand out against the few photographs I found in your links, like the curve of the aft deck, or the thickness of the main-mast. Perspective tricks, maybe? I assume they check out against reference drawings?

really great. Nice to see one of the Shipbucket's masters on the work again. Bundesmarine does indeed have lots of great lesser known ships yet to be drawn and hopeflly we see more in future

was looking for errors, but could find any. but just a minor thing, shading on overhang, how big are those overhang?

BTW it's kind of funny that Germany built six seagoing tugs, but through most of their lifetime only half of them acctually served as tugs.
