10" guns may be too small, but that's your choice. I think 10x12" will be the best solution. Alternatively, you could have two triple turrets, with twins superfiring and one twin in the middle. That will give you 12 guns, but only 5 turrets.

Doesn't matter how big the ship is, the IJN is gonna blow it up anyways.
