And back to WW2 content, the 'new and improved' Balladonia class large cruiser:

I would agree that the Belladonia class are better than the Graf Spee. But it is difficult to tell.

When were the ships built? (laid down, completed), what sort of armour scheme did the ships have? What sort of date are the 12" from, range, size of shell.

It is good to see a different bridge structure has finally appeared on one of your cruiser sized vessels. Though I thought we might have seen a Sea Slug version.

The drawings themselves and the camo changes are well executed and a credit to your skills.

A particularly interesting take on a Deutschland killer.

Attractive, well-drawn cruisers. It'd be interesting to instead consider an A+B layout for Panzerschiffe hunters.

HMRS Balladonia was laid down 1937, completed 1941. HMRS Albany was laid down 1939, completed 1943. 12"/50 guns date from the early 1930's and are a Recherche design influenced by the experimental British 12" from the early 1930's, and would likely be similar to that in terms of Range/shell size (so 950lbs/431kg out to 37,000 yards).

Armour values are:
Main belt: 6"/152mm
Upper belt: 3"/76mm
Deck: 2.8"/71mm
Turrets: 5.5"/140mm
Torpedo bulkhead: 2"/51mm
Conning tower: 5"/127mm
Armour scheme/layout reflects the fact that the RRN consider them to be large cruisers, rather than capital ships, despite their armament.

I considered it (along with Sea Cat), but I thought it might be a stretch given the age of the ships by the time Sea Slug enters service. I could have another look into it though...
